BankIslami Appoints New President and CEO

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Rizwan Ata, the current Group Head of Distribution, has been promoted by the board of directors and appointed as the new CEO and President of BankIslami for a three-year term. He will assume office on September 29, 2023, replacing Syed Amir Ali, who is leaving to join Meezan Bank as the deputy CEO.

However, Rizwan Ata’s appointment is subject to the approval of the State Bank of Pakistan.

Additionally, Rizwan Ata has been immediately elevated to the position of Deputy CEO and President of BankIslami. With over twenty years of experience in banking, he has previously worked for Bank Alfalah (Islamic Banking Division) and Meezan Bank.

In another development, the board has elected Suleman Lalani, who is also the vice president at Jehangir Siddiqi and Co Ltd, as the chairman of BankIslami.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
