Azaan Sami Khan, a singer and music composer, presented the artwork for his upcoming single Maa as a poignant tribute to his mother, renowned performer Zeba Bakhtiar – but he wants people will own and devote it to all motherly figures in their lives.

To announce his homage, the Ik Lamha singer shared the digital artwork on Instagram, writing, “Thought this would be the best way to release the first artwork for the album.” Maa is the title of a song on the album. I’m not sure there’s much else to say. Maa for me is for my Amma, but I hope it will be for yours one day when it is out.”

The artwork, which shows his mother dressed in ethereal white with flowers carefully arranged in her hair and the cosmic elements of the cosmos as a backdrop, provides a moving insight into Khan’s highly awaited self-titled album, Azaan The Album.

According to a press release, Maa is one of several key tracks on Khan’s upcoming album, which is set to be released later this year. Throughout the recording of his second album, the singer has regularly shared studio updates with his social media followers.

Notably, Khan has revealed details regarding the creation of four tracks. There’s also Naadan Dil, a collaboration with producer Talal Qureshi, and Manmarzi. Khan even had a live session on the photosharing app where he gave fans a sneak preview of another song from the album, Humdum. In addition, he taped a recording session in London, which kept his social media platforms buzzing with enthusiasm.

On the work front, Khan has built a name for himself by composing unique OSTs for highly praised films such as Parey Hut Love and Superstar, as well as popular drama serials such as Kuch Ankahi and Ishq e Laa – both of which he also acted in. Azaan, his upcoming highly anticipated album, is his follow-up to his debut album, Main Tera.
