Asian Cricket Council has approved Pakistan’s proposal for the Asia Cup

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has given the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) the all-clear on the proposed hybrid model for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023.

According to media reports, the ACC has accepted the hybrid plan proposed by PCB Chairman Najam Sethi for the venue of the mega event.

“The ACC has accepted the hybrid model for hosting Pakistan’s Asia Cup.” “Pakistan will host four matches before the tournament moves to a neutral location,” an official said.

Yesterday, it was reported that Jay Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), agreed to participate in the proposed Asia Cup 2023.

However, Indian media denied the decision and stated that the cricket board had not issued any such statement regarding the plan’s acceptance.

The officials also revealed that the ACC will not compel the PCB to send the Men in Green to India for the World Cup in 2023, and that it will be subject to government approval.

“The ACC is expected to officially announce the decision within the next few weeks after the final meeting on the matter in the United Arab Emirates (UAE),” officials said.

It was reported last week that Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal had already confirmed their participation in the cricket board’s hybrid model.
