The Virtual University of Pakistan has officially opened admissions for the Fall 2026 semester. Students from across the country can now apply for a wide range of academic programs. The admission process began on 6 July 2026 and will continue until the announced deadlines.
The Virtual University is offering admissions in undergraduate, graduate, diploma, and certificate programs. Available options include BS degrees, MS/MPhil programs, Associate Degree Programs, B.Ed, diplomas, certificates, short courses, and Zero Semester programs.
The university conducts admissions twice every year through its Spring and Fall intakes. This year, the Fall admission campaign has started earlier than usual. Officials say the early launch gives students more time to select their preferred programs and complete the application process.
Applicants seeking admission to MS or MPhil programs must submit their applications by 7 September 2026. The same deadline applies to students requesting course exemption or transfer of academic credits.
For all other programs, except merit-based admissions, the last date to apply is 15 September 2026. The university has advised students to complete the online application process before the closing date to avoid any inconvenience.
The admission schedule also includes the MS/MPhil entry test, which will take place on 18 September 2026. Candidates must submit the admission processing fee by 21 September 2026 to complete their applications.
According to the announced timeline, orientation for newly admitted students will be held from 28 September to 5 October 2026. Regular classes for the Fall semester will begin on 5 October 2026. Students seeking readmission must complete the process by 30 September 2026.
The Virtual University is offering programs through several academic faculties. These include Arts, Computer Science and Information Technology, Education, Management, and Science and Technology.
Students can choose from many popular degree programs. These include BS Computer Science, BS Software Engineering, BS Data Science, BS Information Technology, BS Psychology, BS English, BS Mass Communication, BS Business Administration, BS Accounting and Finance, BS Biotechnology, BS Mathematics, and BS Zoology.
The university is also accepting applications for MBA, MS Computer Science, B.Ed programs, associate degrees, diplomas, specialization certificates, and various short professional courses.
Interested students can apply through the official online admission portal. Applicants should carefully review the eligibility criteria before selecting a program. They must complete the online application form, upload the required documents, and pay the admission processing fee within the specified deadline.
