Virat Kohli Breaks Sachin Tendulkar’s Record for Most Hundreds in ODIs

On Wednesday in Mumbai, during the World Cup semi-final against New Zealand, Virat Kohli of India achieved a remarkable milestone by scoring his 50th one-day international hundred.

The 35-year-old cricketer reached this century by taking a two off fast bowler Lockie Ferguson, completing the feat in 106 balls. In the process, he hit eight fours and a six, surpassing the previous record of 49 ODI hundreds, which he shared with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

It is noteworthy that Kohli accomplished this feat at the Wankhede Stadium, the home ground of his former India teammate Tendulkar. The batting maestro Tendulkar was among those present at the stadium to applaud Kohli’s exceptional achievement.
