The Government of Punjab has officially extended the application deadline for the CM Punjab Revolutionary Internship Program for veterinary graduates and para-vets until May 15. The extension provides additional time for eligible candidates across the province to submit their applications and benefit from the government-backed initiative designed to support youth employment and livestock development.
Under the internship program, veterinary graduates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs60,000, while para-vet interns will be paid Rs40,000 per month. The initiative has been launched with a total budget of Rs600 million and aims to strengthen the livestock sector by providing practical training opportunities to fresh graduates and diploma holders.
According to officials, the programme plans to accommodate 264 veterinary graduates and 371 para-vets through a district-wise quota system across Punjab. Authorities believe the initiative will help young professionals gain field experience while also improving livestock services in rural and urban areas of the province.
Interns selected under the programme will receive hands-on training in several important areas related to animal healthcare and livestock management. Their responsibilities will include animal vaccination, disease diagnosis, treatment procedures, and assisting livestock farmers through technical guidance and awareness support. Officials say the training will improve practical skills and increase future employment opportunities for participants.
To qualify for the veterinary graduate category, applicants must possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an HEC-recognised institution. Candidates must be no older than 25 years, hold valid registration with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council, belong to the relevant district, remain unemployed in both public and private sectors, and own a smartphone for official coordination and reporting purposes.
For para-vets, applicants must hold a two-year Livestock Assistant Diploma (LAD), be under 20 years of age, have a domicile of the relevant district, remain unemployed, and own a smartphone. Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the official Government of Punjab jobs portal at Jobs Punjab by completing and submitting the required online application form before the revised deadline.
