Trump Arrested For Alleged 2020 Election Fraud

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In Georgia, former US President Donald Trump was arrested in connection with his efforts to dispute the 2020 election results in the state. The arrest took place at Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, where he faced charges of racketeering and conspiracy. Trump, 77 years old, was formally processed on 13 counts during a brief proceeding lasting less than 30 minutes, as per records from the sheriff’s office.

The jail records noted Trump’s height as six feet three inches (approximately 1.9 meters), weight as 215 pounds (around 97 kilograms), and hair color as “Blond or Strawberry.” Others implicated in the case had already surrendered to authorities and their mugshots had been taken.

This is Trump’s fourth criminal indictment since April, marking an unprecedented year of legal proceedings alongside potential involvement in a White House campaign.

Trump’s recent Truth Social post from his New Jersey golf club before heading to Atlanta attributed his arrest to challenging what he called a “RIGGED & STOLLEN (sic) ELECTION,” and he expressed his disappointment as “another SAD DAY IN AMERICA!”

Worth noting is that Trump had managed to evade having a mugshot taken in previous arrests earlier in the year, including charges related to hush money payments, mishandling government documents, and conspiring to overturn the 2020 election result.

Despite this, Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat clarified that photographing defendants before their release on bail is a standard procedure in Georgia. Trump’s bail was set at $200,000.

The arrest followed Trump’s decision to skip a televised debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where eight of his 2024 Republican presidential nomination rivals participated, all trailing behind him significantly in polls.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
