The National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf accepted the resignations of 35 PTI MNAs on Tuesday, and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) swiftly de-notified them. The notification issued by the electoral watchdog, stated that the lawmakers were de-notified “with immediate effect”.
The de-notified lawmakers include Murad Saeed, Omar Ayub Khan, Asad Qaiser, Pervaiz Khattak, Noorul Haq Qadri, Asad Umar, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Sheikh Rashid, Hammad Azhar, Shafqat Mehmood, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Qasim Khan Suri and others.
