In Peshawar, on Wednesday, a check-post on the Kohat Indus Highway witnessed a tragic incident where a group of terrorists stormed in, resulting in the martyrdom of at least four individuals, including three security personnel. According to reports in local media, the attack involved 10 militants targeting the Lachi Toll Plaza and a security checkpost. Responding swiftly, Pakistan Army and police units reached the site, securing the area and initiating a search operation to apprehend the assailants.

The reports indicate that the terrorists executed the attack and managed to escape to the mountainous region, prompting an ongoing search operation. Unfortunately, the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have experienced a notable increase in attacks on police, carried out by the TTP and its splinter groups, targeting both security forces and civilians.
