Smog Forces Closure Of Traffic On Motorways

Lahore – To prevent road accidents caused by thick smog, the National Highways and Motorways Police have shut down segments of motorways. According to posts on various social media platforms, the M2 (Lahore-Islamabad motorway) is now closed from Thokar Niaz Baig to Kot Momin interchange, with restricted entry for vehicles from the Islamabad main toll plaza.

Additionally, the M4, connecting Faisalabad and Multan in Punjab, has been closed from the Pindi Bhattian point. Similarly, the M3 has been shut down from Faizpur Interchange to Samundari Interchange. Authorities have also implemented a closure of the Lahore-Sialkot motorway to traffic due to the prevailing smog conditions.
