Sindh Announces New School Timings Due To Decreasing Temperature

The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department has issued revised timings for schools across the province on Fridays.

This adjustment in schedule is a response to the decreasing temperatures. As per the official notification, all government and private schools under the administrative control of the School Education and Literacy Department will commence classes at 8:30 am.

The notification emphasizes that this revised timing will be in effect until the conclusion of January. Schools throughout the province resumed regular classes on January 1 following a 10-day winter break.

Previously: Sindh Declares Public Holiday on December 27th

Earlier this week, a widely circulated notification on social media claimed an extension of winter holidays in Sindh. However, the School Education Department clarified that the notification was fake and warned of legal action against those responsible for spreading misinformation.

It’s worth noting that earlier, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had extended the winter break for schools due to a drop in temperature.

Despite ongoing reports suggesting a potential extension of holidays due to the persistent lower temperatures, as of now, no official decisions have been made by the provincial governments.
