The judicial commission investigating the Mir Raza Ali murder case has summoned seven key witnesses to appear before the panel on September 3. The witnesses include police officials, an online taxi driver, business partners and friends of the deceased.
The commission has directed SDPO Shahrah-e-Faisal and SHO Ferozabad to appear before the panel. Both police officials have been asked to record their statements as part of the ongoing investigation.
An online taxi driver identified as Ehsan has also been summoned. The commission is expected to question him about information that could help clarify the circumstances surrounding Mir Raza Ali’s disappearance and death.
Mir Raza Ali’s business partners Muhammad Ahmed and Abdullah Bharde have also been called to appear before the commission. Their statements may provide information about his activities and movements before his disappearance.
The panel has further summoned Mir Raza Ali’s friends Razzaq and Haseem. All seven witnesses have been directed to appear before the judicial commission on September 3 and record their statements.
The commission is headed by Sindh High Court Justice Omar Sial. It was established to examine the circumstances surrounding the Mir Raza Ali murder case and gather evidence from people connected to the case.
Earlier, family members and Edhi volunteers appeared before the judicial commission and recorded their statements. The proceedings focused on the events surrounding Mir Raza Ali’s disappearance and the efforts made to locate him.
During the earlier proceedings, the commission questioned Mir Raza Ali’s father, Mir Hussain. He was asked when the family first learned that his son was missing.
Mir Hussain told the commission that his wife was better placed to explain the circumstances surrounding their son’s disappearance. His statement was followed by testimony from Mir Raza Ali’s mother.
His mother told the commission that she received a call from his friend Haitham at around 4:14am. According to her statement, Haitham informed her that Mir Raza had deleted all his social media accounts.
She also said Mir Raza’s fiancée contacted her because he was not responding to messages. The family then checked his room after becoming concerned about his whereabouts.
According to her testimony, Mir Raza’s keys and most of his belongings were still inside the house. However, he was not present there at the time.
His friends Razzaq, Shehry and Kazim later reached the house. They began searching for him after learning that he was missing.
The upcoming appearance of the seven witnesses is expected to provide the commission with additional information. Their statements could help investigators establish a clearer timeline of events surrounding the case.
The judicial commission will continue examining statements and available evidence as part of its ongoing proceedings. Further developments are expected after the witnesses appear before the panel.
