Reason Revealed Behind Death of Molana Tariq Jameel's Son

Asim Jamil, the son of the renowned Islamic scholar and preacher Maulana Tariq Jamil, tragically passed away due to a gunshot wound to his chest at his farmhouse.

Dr. Asif Imam from Tulamba Hospital officially confirmed the unfortunate demise.

According to reports, Asim was in the midst of a workout session at his farmhouse gym while a security guard was on alert. Regrettably, Asim took the guard’s pistol and, in a distressing turn of events, shot himself in the chest.

Regional Police Officer Capt (retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry from Multan revealed that CCTV footage showed Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son taking his own life by wresting the pistol from his guard during his workout and firing into his chest.

RPO Sohail added that Asim had been grappling with mental illness for an extended period, as he had been undergoing mental health treatment.

Asim Jamil was previously married into the Niazi family of Khanewal. Sources indicated that Maulana Tariq Jamil had established Al-Hussain School in Tulamba, which was overseen and managed by Asim’s ex-wife, who served as the school’s principal. Notably, Asim had not completed his basic education nor received religious instruction.

It was also revealed that Asim had divorced his wife two years ago, had no children, and had been struggling with mental health challenges.

The Punjab Inspector General of Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, promptly took notice of the incident and requested a comprehensive report from Multan RPO. He stressed the importance of determining the cause of death through a thorough examination of the available evidence and a forensic report.

The Punjab police reported that the Khanewal DPO and senior law enforcement officials were present at the scene and actively collecting evidence.

The scholar himself shared this tragic news on the social media platform X, asking for prayers for the departed soul.
