Rawalpindi Announces 1,562 Anti-Dengue Jobs

The District Health Authority Rawalpindi has announced 1,562 temporary vacancies under its Anti-Dengue Program, inviting applications for field and technical positions across the district to strengthen dengue surveillance and prevention efforts.

According to the official advertisement, the recruitment will be made on a contingent paid/daily-wage basis for a period of up to 89 days. The available positions include 62 Entomologist posts and 1,500 Sanitary Patrol posts.

The majority of vacancies are for Sanitary Patrol staff, with 450 positions for male candidates and 1,050 positions for female candidates. These posts are distributed across various towns, tehsils, union councils, wards, and cantonment areas of Rawalpindi district.

Selected Sanitary Patrol workers will assist with anti-dengue operations, including field inspections, larvae surveillance, reporting, and other duties assigned under the district’s dengue prevention campaign. Applicants must be physically fit and available for fieldwork, while the use of an Android smartphone is required for digital reporting.

The authority has also announced 62 Entomologist vacancies for candidates meeting the prescribed educational qualifications and experience requirements. Applicants with backgrounds in public health, vector control, dengue surveillance, or related fields will be considered under the recruitment criteria.

The temporary hiring drive aims to strengthen Rawalpindi’s anti-dengue response ahead of the high-risk dengue season by increasing field surveillance and disease prevention activities across the district.
