Punjab’s Rs1 Million Parwaaz Card: Check Who Can Get It

Punjab residents who have confirmed overseas jobs can apply for interest-free financing of up to Rs1 million under the Parwaaz Card program. The initiative aims to help workers manage essential expenses before leaving Pakistan for employment abroad.

The Punjab government has introduced the facility for eligible workers who already have overseas employment offers. The program is being implemented through the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) and focuses on reducing the financial burden faced by workers before departure.

The financing can help cover several mandatory expenses linked to overseas employment. These include visa processing, medical examinations, airfare, Protector registration, skills testing, and verification charges.

Fees paid to licensed Overseas Employment Promoters can also qualify for financing under the program. The actual loan amount will depend on the approved expenses related to the worker’s overseas employment.

To apply for the Parwaaz Card, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also hold a valid Computerized National Identity Card and be residents of Punjab.

Applicants must have a confirmed employment offer from an overseas employer. The monthly salary offered under the employment contract must be below SAR 5,000 or its equivalent in another foreign currency.

Both men and women can apply for the facility. The program is open to skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers who meet the eligibility requirements.

A confirmed overseas job is an important requirement for the scheme. The financing is not designed for individuals who are still searching for employment opportunities abroad.

Eligible workers can submit their applications through the official Parwaaz Card online portal. Applicants need to register on the platform and provide their personal information along with details of their overseas employment.

Applicants must also upload the required documents before completing the online application. The digital platform allows applicants to track the status of their financing request during the approval process.

However, submitting an application does not guarantee approval. Authorities will verify the information and documents provided by applicants before making a decision.

Applicants are advised to carefully check all information before submitting their forms. Incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information could lead to rejection or disqualification from the program.

The Parwaaz Card financing facility is aimed at helping Punjab workers use formal channels to secure overseas employment. By covering major pre-departure costs, the scheme could make it easier for eligible workers to take up confirmed jobs abroad.
