Punjab Traffic Police Launches Province-Wide Crackdown on Violations

Punjab Traffic Police has announced a province-wide crackdown on violations. The campaign targets stricter enforcement of road rules across all districts. Officials said the move aims to improve road safety and discipline.

According to an official directive, Punjab Traffic has ordered all field officers to ensure full compliance with laws. The instructions were issued by SSP Headquarters Syed Nadeem Abbas. He directed CTOs and DTOs to implement rules without exception.

The Punjab Traffic department emphasized a zero-tolerance policy. This means strict action will be taken against all types of violations. These include helmet misuse, seat belt neglect, and improper lane driving.

Authorities said the goal is to reduce accidents on busy roads. The Traffic plan focuses on improving driver responsibility. Officials believe strict enforcement can reduce careless driving behavior.

DIG Traffic Punjab also instructed officials to launch a strong enforcement campaign. The drive will cover all districts equally. The Traffic system will ensure no area is ignored during inspections.

A key part of the plan is regular monitoring. Traffic Headquarters Punjab will review district performance every seven days. This will help maintain accountability across the province.

Punjab Traffic has also focused on awareness efforts. Education teams will run campaigns to inform citizens about driving laws. These programs will highlight the importance of licenses and safe driving habits.

Officials urged citizens to follow Traffic rules responsibly. They stressed that cooperation from the public is necessary. Safe driving behavior is essential for reducing road accidents.

Muhammad Waqas Nazir, head of Traffic Punjab, said awareness and enforcement will go together. He directed teams to increase public outreach activities. The aim is to build a stronger culture of road safety.
