The Punjab Tourism Force has expanded its operational fleet with the addition of brand-new GWM Haval H6 petrol SUVs. The Punjab government introduced the new vehicles to improve field operations and strengthen tourist assistance across the province.
The Punjab Tourism Force is a specialized and uniformed unit established to promote safe and organized tourism. Its officers are trained to guide visitors, respond to emergencies, and maintain order at major tourist destinations. The force also works to improve the overall travel experience for local and international tourists.
Officials say the newly added SUVs will increase the mobility of the force. The vehicles will help officers reach tourist sites more quickly and respond efficiently during emergencies. The expanded fleet is expected to improve patrol operations in different parts of Punjab.
The Punjab Tourism Force is currently deployed at several well-known tourist destinations. These include Murree, Taxila, Harappa, and the Soon Valley. Officers stationed at these locations provide visitor guidance, security support, and emergency assistance throughout the year.
The newly inducted GWM Haval H6 SUVs come with several modern exterior features. These include LED headlamps, LED taillamps, daytime running lights, rear fog lamps, and automatic headlights. The vehicles also feature electric headlight adjustment and an emergency brake warning system.
Additional exterior features include a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, privacy glass, ambient lighting, and a power-operated tailgate. The SUVs are also equipped with heated auto-folding side mirrors, puddle lamps, a shark fin antenna, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the Haval H6 is powered by a turbocharged petrol engine. It is paired with an automatic dual-clutch transmission for smoother performance. Depending on the model, buyers can choose between a 1.5-liter and a 2.0-liter engine. The higher variant delivers up to 235 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque.
Inside the cabin, the SUV offers a premium driving experience. It includes a 14.6-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Other features include dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, an eight-speaker audio system, and a fully digital instrument cluster.
The SUV also includes advanced driver assistance technologies. These include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera. These systems are designed to improve both driver safety and operational efficiency.
