The Punjab government is expected to inaugurate the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology on July 15 as part of its efforts to expand access to specialized cardiac healthcare across the province.
The new institute will offer modern diagnostic and treatment facilities for heart patients, enabling residents of Sargodha and surrounding districts to receive specialized medical care closer to home.
Officials believe the hospital will help reduce the patient burden on major cardiac centers in Lahore while improving access to emergency and routine cardiac services in central Punjab.
The institute is expected to play a key role in strengthening the province’s healthcare infrastructure by providing advanced cardiac care through modern medical facilities and specialized treatment services.
According to officials, the project is part of the Punjab government’s broader strategy to enhance public healthcare through the establishment of state-of-the-art medical institutions across the province.
The launch of the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology is expected to improve healthcare accessibility for thousands of patients who currently travel to larger cities for specialized heart treatment.
