The Punjab government has officially fixed theater drama timings across the province, requiring all performances to take place between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
The decision was taken by the Punjab Information and Culture Department after reviewing reports submitted by relevant departments.
According to the new policy, theater performances will continue to follow the 8 PM to 11 PM schedule even after the lockdown ends. The move aims to improve discipline and ensure uniform operating hours for theaters across Punjab.
To enforce the new rules, the provincial government has established special monitoring committees that will oversee compliance at theaters throughout the province.
These committees will regularly inspect theater operations and ensure that performances strictly adhere to the approved schedule.
The government says the fixed timings are part of broader efforts to regulate theater activities and maintain better oversight of the entertainment sector.
