Punjab CM Greenlights Funding for Solar Panel Initiative

Punjab’s CM Maryam Nawaz approved funds for the Roshan Gharana Program, focusing on providing electricity access to households consuming up to 100 units monthly. This initiative aims to distribute solar kits, including a 1kv solar system with panels, batteries, inverters, and wiring, fostering reliance on renewable energy.

In a meeting chaired by CM Maryam Nawaz, detailed discussions covered the operational framework and funding for the Roshan Gharana Program, highlighting the government’s commitment to sustainable development and reducing dependence on traditional energy sources.

Alongside the Roshan Gharana Program, the meeting endorsed initiatives to improve education and administrative efficiency in Punjab. Funds were allocated for a modern computer lab at the Government College of Technology, emphasizing the government’s dedication to digital literacy and technological progress.

Additionally, CM Maryam Nawaz emphasized the government’s determination to address administrative hurdles, including the backlog of vehicle number plates, within set deadlines.
