PTI General Secretary Omar Ayub, the party’s nominee for the prime ministerial position, strongly condemned the abduction of Aslam Ghuman. He confirmed that the PTI MNA-elect was taken from Sialkot and asserted that Ghuman was under pressure to dissociate from PTI and align with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

This incident occurs in the midst of PML-N and PTI’s endeavors to establish governments at both the federal and provincial levels. Both parties are actively engaging with various political entities to forge alliances and secure support for forming governments.
