The arrest comes just hours after PTI General Secretary Asad Umar was detained outside the Islamabad High Court.
He was apprehended by the Anti-Terrorist Squad of the Islamabad police, though it is unclear in which case.
Following Imran Khan’s arrest, Qureshi is the fourth PTI leader to be detained.

The Sindh Police arrested PTI’s Ali Zaidi on Tuesday night. Zaidi, the president of the party’s Sindh chapter, was reportedly arrested in Karachi while leading a protest against Imran’s arrest in Kalapul.
As PTI-led protests across Pakistan intensify, the Ministry of Interior has authorised the deployment of the Pakistan Army in Punjab to maintain law and order.
To quell the unrest, the government has also blocked social media and mobile broadband.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
