PTI Cancels Rally Due To Denied Sindh Permission

Khurram Sher Zaman, Karachi’s PTI president, announced the cancellation of a scheduled Sunday rally after Sindh’s caretaker government denied permission. Zaman criticized the impartiality of the Sindh caretaker government and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), alleging a lack of a level playing field for the February 8, 2024 general elections.

Questioning the transparency of the electoral process, Zaman accused the ECP and caretakers of bias, creating a farcical nature in the ongoing election. He affirmed the PTI’s commitment to democratic values, assuring supporters that a new rally date will be announced upon permission.

Zaman expressed concern over the perceived bias of the Sindh administration against the PTI’s campaign, contrasting it with apparent leniency toward other parties. He noted raids on PTI workers’ houses, emphasizing that political vendetta will not benefit anyone.
