PPP Selects Murad Ali Shah As Sindh CM

KARACHI – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Wednesday nominated Murad Ali Shah for the post of Sindh chief minister again. The announcement comes as newly-elected members of the Sindh Assembly are set to take oath tomorrow (Saturday). Bilawal once again clarified that his party would not be part of the federal cabinet, adding that they had not demanded any ministry. While highlighting the problems being faced by people in Sindh, he said the provincial government will try to solve them on priority basis. He also the initiative to re-build houses in flood-hit area hit snags during the elections, adding that it will be restarted soon. “We will have to show better performance than past,” he asserted, adding that water issue will also be resolved on priority basis.

In Karachi, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) announced on Wednesday its nomination of Murad Ali Shah for the position of Sindh Chief Minister once again. The declaration was made by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari during a press conference, where he also disclosed that Awais Qadir Shahi and Naveed Anthony would be the party’s nominees for the roles of Sindh Assembly Speaker and Deputy Speaker, respectively.

This announcement coincides with the impending oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected members of the Sindh Assembly scheduled for the following day, Saturday.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took the opportunity to reiterate that his party would not be participating in the federal cabinet, emphasizing that they had not made any requests for ministerial positions. He further addressed the challenges faced by the people in Sindh, expressing the provincial government’s commitment to addressing these issues as a top priority.

During the press conference, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted that the initiative to reconstruct houses in flood-affected areas faced obstacles during the elections but assured that it would be resumed shortly. Emphasizing the need for improved performance compared to the past, he pledged to address water-related concerns promptly.

The nomination of Murad Ali Shah for the Sindh Chief Minister position signals the PPP’s continued leadership in the province. The party aims to tackle pressing issues faced by the people and has identified individuals for key positions in the Sindh Assembly, reinforcing its commitment to effective governance and problem-solving in the region.
