In Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made public an extension of one year for Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, This decision led to the submission of an advisory regarding Sidhu’s tenure extension to President Asif Ali Zardari for his endorsement.

Currently holding the position of the 16th Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu is recognized as a distinguished four-star officer in the air force. He commenced his leadership of the air force on March 19, 2021, following ACM Mujahid Anwar Khan. It’s noteworthy that recently, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu held discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on various national matters.
