PKR Gains Ground Against USD

The Pakistani currency kicked off the week on a positive note, as the PKR showed a slight increase against the US dollar on Monday. In the early hours of trading on the first working day, the rupee stood at 279.25, marking a rise of Rs0.11 against the greenback in the inter-bank market.
In the previous week, the rupee experienced a marginal decline against the USD, decreasing by Rs0.08 to settle at 279.36.

The rupee had been on a winning streak for 13 consecutive weeks before encountering this slight setback. The decline was attributed to a lack of positive triggers on both the political and economic fronts.
