PKR Maintains Its Long Run Against the Dollar
The rupee’s latest performance extends its reported winning streak against the US dollar. It has recorded daily gains since December 25, 2025.
Tuesday’s movement was modest, with the currency gaining only one paisa against the dollar. Still, the latest closing rate continued the trend reported over the past 270 days.
The rupee also showed mixed movements against other currencies in the published exchange-rate table. It weakened slightly against the Malaysian ringgit and Chinese yuan.
These figures highlight that the rupee’s performance differs across currency pairs. Its movement against the dollar does not necessarily mean it strengthens against every international currency.
