The PERA Force Bahawalpur has issued a strict warning to traders and shopkeepers, stating that legal action will be taken against those involved in overpricing Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and other essential commodities.
According to Mujtaba Manzoor, SDO of PERA Force and Special Magistrate of the Price Control Committee, citizens are encouraged to immediately report any vendors selling goods above officially notified rates.
He said the Punjab government is committed to protecting consumers from unfair pricing practices and that coordinated monitoring efforts are underway with the district administration to ensure compliance in local markets.
Residents of Bahawalpur can submit complaints directly at the SDO’s office or through official reporting channels. Manzoor assured that all complaints will be addressed promptly and that strict action will be taken against profiteers involved in unlawful price hikes.
He further emphasized that adherence to government price regulations is a top priority, adding that the department will continue efforts to ensure the availability of essential goods at controlled and fair prices across the district.
