Pakistan’s National Artificial Intelligence Advancement Initiative is set to receive new digital and office equipment. The move aims to strengthen infrastructure supporting the country’s AI projects.
The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication is leading the procurement. The equipment will improve the operational capacity of the initiative and support its ongoing and future activities.
According to the Request for Proposal, the ministry plans to purchase equipment under four different lots. The procurement includes laptops, printing and scanning equipment, a photocopier, a multimedia projector and large LED displays.
The procurement package includes 19 laptops for the NAAI project. It also includes printing and scanning equipment needed for regular office and digital operations.
The ministry will also procure a photocopier and a multimedia projector. In addition, four 75-inch LED displays will be provided under the project.
The equipment is expected to provide the NAAI with additional computing, presentation and office capabilities. These resources will support meetings, training activities and other AI-related work.
The procurement is part of the government’s broader efforts to strengthen artificial intelligence capabilities in Pakistan. The initiative is also aimed at improving the country’s readiness for future AI projects.
MoITT has specified that all equipment supplied under the procurement must be new and defect-free. Suppliers will also be required to provide warranties for the equipment.
The procurement requirements include installation arrangements and after-sales support. This will ensure that the supplied equipment remains operational after installation.
The ministry has invited eligible suppliers to participate in the bidding process. Suppliers must submit their bids through the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority’s electronic procurement system.
Hard copies of the required documents must also be submitted as part of the procurement process. The ministry has set a specific deadline for receiving bids.
According to the RFP, bids must be submitted by 11:00am on August 25, 2026. The bids are scheduled to be opened at 11:30am on the same day.
The procurement is expected to improve the working environment of the National AI Advancement Initiative. It will provide the project with infrastructure needed for its current and planned activities.
The government has been increasing its focus on artificial intelligence and digital transformation. The latest procurement reflects efforts to build the technical and operational capacity required to support these plans.
