Pakistan Railways Announces Three Eid Special Trains for Passengers

According to the announced schedule, the first special Eid train will operate from Quetta to Karachi on May 23. The second train will travel from Karachi to Rawalpindi on May 24, while the third special train will run from Karachi to Lahore on May 25.

Officials stated that each train will include seven to eight coaches. Heavy passenger traffic is expected during the Eid holidays, and authorities believe train bookings may fill quickly because many people are looking for affordable travel options.

Pakistan Railways explained that the special trains are meant to reduce pressure on the road transport system, where passengers are already facing difficulties due to expensive fuel and limited transport availability.

However, many travelers have expressed concern after Peshawar was excluded from the special Eid train network this year. No additional Eid train services have been announced for routes connecting Peshawar with Karachi, Lahore, or Quetta.

The decision has reportedly disappointed passengers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially those planning to travel home during Eid celebrations.

As Eid-ul-Adha approaches, Pakistan Railways is expected to play an important role in managing the large number of travelers across the country. Officials believe the special train operation will help reduce travel difficulties and provide relief to passengers during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
