Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Iran-US Negotiations in Islamabad

Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to facilitate Iran-US negotiations amid ongoing diplomatic developments. The government says it will continue efforts to ensure dialogue between both sides takes place smoothly.

A high-level consultative meeting was held in Islamabad to review the situation. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Senior officials also attended the session.

These included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The meeting focused on recent developments in the proposed talks.

Officials discussed Iran’s reported hesitation to participate in the next round of negotiations. The situation was reviewed in detail during the meeting.

Pakistan reiterated that it is ready to play a constructive role. Authorities emphasized that dialogue remains essential for regional stability and peace.

Sources said the interior minister briefed the leadership on his meetings with American and Iranian ambassadors. These discussions included security arrangements for the upcoming talks.

The second round of Iran-US negotiations is expected to be held in Islamabad. However, no final schedule has been confirmed yet.

Officials stated that efforts are still ongoing to maintain contact with both parties. The aim is to ensure participation from all stakeholders.
