Pakistan Has Adequate Oil Reserves, PM Orders Strict Monitoring

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed authorities to maintain strict monitoring of petroleum consumption across the country. The instruction came during a high-level review meeting on fuel availability.

The meeting was held in response to rising regional tensions. Officials briefed the Prime Minister on the current status of Oil Reserves and future supply plans. According to the briefing, Pakistan currently has sufficient stocks to meet its energy needs.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of continuous oversight. He said that effective planning has helped the country avoid any fuel shortage. He added that maintaining stable Oil Reserves remains a top priority for the government.

Officials informed the meeting that petroleum stocks are adequate. However, they stressed the need for careful and efficient use of resources. Authorities were asked to ensure that consumption patterns are closely monitored to prevent any unnecessary pressure on Oil Reserves.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the government’s commitment to public relief. He stated that efforts will continue to protect citizens from the impact of global energy challenges. He noted that timely decisions and strong coordination have supported stability in the fuel sector.

During the briefing, officials shared details about future requirements. They confirmed that necessary arrangements for oil imports have already been finalized. This step is expected to strengthen supply chains and reduce any potential risks.

The meeting was attended by senior government members, including Ishaq Dar, Ahad Cheema, Ali Pervaiz Malik, and Attaullah Tarar. Officials from relevant departments also participated in the discussion.

Experts believe that regular monitoring and advance planning are key to managing energy resources. They say that stable Oil Reserves can help the country deal with global uncertainties more effectively.
