Pakistan Jumps To Fourth In ICC Test Championship Rankings

Following Sri Lanka’s convincing victory over Bangladesh, Pakistan has advanced to fourth place in the ICC World Test Championships rankings. Sri Lanka’s triumph, maintaining their unbeaten record in Bangladesh, resulted in three drawn matches.

Previously, Sri Lanka languished at the bottom of the ICC points table with zero points, whereas Bangladesh occupied fourth place with 12 points and a points percentage of 50.

After the series win, both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh now share the joint-sixth position, each accumulating 12 points and boasting a points percentage of 33.33. Consequently, South Africa and England, with lower points percentages, have descended to the lower end of the table.

Pakistan, previously positioned fifth, has been propelled to fourth place with a points percentage of 36.66, benefitting from the reshuffling.

Meanwhile, West Indies, matching Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in points percentage, has ascended to fifth place with a total of 16 points.
