Pakistan Declares Bank Holidays For Eidul Fitr 2024

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has released the holiday schedule for banks during Eidul Fitr 2024. According to the announcement, the central bank will be closed from April 10th to 12th, with regular weekly offs on Saturday and Sunday. Normal banking operations will resume on April 15th.

“The State Bank of Pakistan will be shut from April 10th to April 12th, 2024 (Wednesday to Friday) due to public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr,” stated the official press release.

Earlier today, the federal government declared a four-day public holiday for Eid ul Fitr 2024. A notification issued by the cabinet division outlined the holiday schedule, stating, “In accordance with the Cabinet Division’s circular regarding Public and Optional holidays for the year 2024, it is hereby announced that the Prime Minister has approved public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr as follows.”

The notification specified that offices operating on a five-day workweek will be closed from April 10th to April 12th, while those with a six-day workweek will observe holidays from April 10th to April 13th.
