Pakistan Dominates China 7-2 in Junior Hockey Asia Cup 2024
Pakistan’s rising stars, Sufiyan Khan and Hamza Fayaz, played crucial roles as Pakistan secured a dominant 7-2 win over China in the Junior Hockey Asia Cup 2024 on Wednesday. Their twin strikes were pivotal in Pakistan’s impressive victory during this key league-stage match.
The match began slowly, with neither team able to score in the opening quarter. However, the momentum shifted in the second quarter when Hamza Fayaz broke the deadlock just two minutes into the period, scoring a well-taken field goal.
Pakistan quickly doubled their lead when Sufiyan Khan converted a penalty corner to make it 2-0. The Green Shirts continued to press, and Hamza scored again, extending Pakistan’s advantage to 3-0.
China managed to pull one back when Di Yanwei found the net, reducing the deficit to 3-1. But Pakistan responded swiftly, with Muhammad Ammad adding a fourth goal in the penultimate quarter, taking the score to 4-1 in their favor.

In the final quarter, Pakistan sealed the victory with goals from Rana Waleed, Sufiyan Khan, and Muhammad Mughira, putting the team firmly in control at 7-1 in the 51st minute.
China managed a late consolation goal through Yubo Wang, but it wasn’t enough to mount a serious comeback, and the match ended 7-2.
