The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) has opened admissions for its Spring 2027 postgraduate programs. The admissions cover PhD, MPhil, Master’s, diploma, and clinical certification programs.
NUMS started accepting online applications on October 6, 2026. Candidates can submit applications with the regular fee until October 30, 2026.
The regular application deadline is 4:00 PM on October 30. Applicants missing this deadline can still apply during the late admission period.
Late applications will remain open until November 4, 2026, at 4:00 PM. A higher processing fee will apply during the late application period.
The university is offering programs across several health-related fields. These include medical sciences, psychology, public health, nursing, dental sciences, cardiology, and radiology.
NUMS is offering PhD programs in several specialized disciplines. These include Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine, Pharmacology, Public Health, and Psychology.
Other PhD options include Pathology and Science of Dental Materials. The university has also announced several MPhil programs.
MPhil options include Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Molecular Medicine. Other programs cover Community Medicine, Microbiology, Haematology, and Psychology.
At the Master’s level, applicants can choose several health-related programs. These include Health Professions Education and MS Clinical Psychology.
NUMS is also offering MS Transfusion Medicine and MSc Cardiac Anesthesia. The Master of Science in Nursing program is also available.
According to the admission notice, the Master of Science in Nursing program is open to female candidates only.
The university is also offering a Diploma in Cardiology. Clinical certification programs are available in Interventional Radiology and Hybrid Imaging.
Applicants submitting their forms by October 30 must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 3,000. The late application fee will be Rs. 5,000.
Candidates applying for multiple programs must pay a separate fee for each program. Applicants should carefully review the eligibility requirements before applying.
NUMS will conduct entry tests on November 17 and 18, 2026. Tests for different programs will be held according to the announced schedule.
The tests will begin at 10:00 AM. Candidates must report to their assigned test venue by 9:00 AM.
Admit cards are expected to be available from November 12, 2026. The test venue will be mentioned on each candidate’s admit card.
Candidates for MS Clinical Psychology face an additional assessment. Those qualifying for the entry test will appear in a psychological assessment on November 26.
Interviews for the postgraduate programs are scheduled between December 1 and December 8. NUMS will announce the merit list for all programs on December 16.
Applicants must complete the entire admission process online. Required documents include a recent photograph, CNIC, updated CV, degrees, and transcripts.
Candidates without final degrees can submit provisional degree certificates. Some programs may require registration certificates, experience documents, or employer NOCs.
Research proposals are required for MPhil Psychology and MS Clinical Psychology applicants. Certain programs may also require relevant test results.
Applicants for selected MPhil Basic Sciences programs need valid GAT or HAT General results. They must have at least 50 percent cumulative marks.
Some PhD programs may require GRE, GAT, or HAT subject test results. Requirements will depend on the selected program.
NUMS has also introduced an Overseas Pakistani category for eligible candidates. Applicants must provide documents proving their overseas status when required.
Candidates must apply through the NUMS online admission system. Hard-copy applications will not be accepted.
Applicants must complete the online form and generate the fee challan. They must then pay the fee and upload the paid challan.
Classes for several programs will begin on January 4, 2027. These include PhD, MPhil, selected Master’s programs, and the nursing program.

Classes for psychology programs and clinical certification courses will begin on February 15, 2027. Applicants should review the schedule before completing their applications.
