New Feature View Once For Audio Messages Launched By WhatsApp

WhatsApp has introduced “Listen Once” for audio messages, adding to the privacy features initially introduced for images and videos in 2021. This feature, protected by end-to-end encryption, allows users to send voice messages that automatically disappear once played.

This innovation, called “View Once,” not only extends the flexibility of WhatsApp’s features but also presents a secure option for sharing sensitive or confidential information.

To use this feature, users can open an individual or group chat, tap the microphone, swipe up to lock the recording, tap and hold to record, and then select “View once” to enable the disappearing message mode. If the recipient has read messages enabled, an opened receipt will appear in the chat upon accessing the view once media or voice message.
