Netherlands Elects To Bat First Against Sri Lanka In WC 2023

In Lucknow, the Netherlands face off against Sri Lanka in the 19th match of the ICC World Cup 2023 at the Ekana Sports City, where two matches are scheduled for today’s doubleheader.

Sri Lankan bowler Kasun Rajitha took two wickets during the Powerplay after the Netherlands won the toss and chose to bat first.

Sri Lanka entered today’s game as the favored team, having never lost an ODI match against the Netherlands.

In their previous match, the Netherlands surprised everyone by defeating South Africa by 38 runs. They batted first, scoring 245, while the Proteas were bowled out for 207. The Netherlands has played three matches so far, winning one and losing two.
