The investigation revealed that 16 bank accounts were allegedly used for the business. These accounts reportedly belonged to the suspect and several members of his family.
The individuals named in connection with the accounts include his brother, wife, sister, and maternal aunt. Investigators are examining the financial transactions linked to the alleged operation.
NCCIA registered a case under FIR No. 246/2026. The agency also established eight special teams to investigate the matter across Punjab, Islamabad, and Sindh.
The teams conducted raids at 35 locations during the investigation. Authorities also questioned 47 people as part of their efforts to gather evidence.
Advanced Technology Used During Investigation
Investigators used artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies to analyze digital evidence. The process included reviewing 122 call data records and 50 IMEI tracking reports.
Authorities also examined audio and video recordings collected from 120 cameras. These materials reportedly helped investigators trace activities connected to the suspected operation.
A separate tracking operation continued for 10 days to locate the suspect. The investigation involved examining digital records, financial transactions, and other available evidence.
Joint Investigation Team Formed
A joint investigation team has been established to examine the alleged counterfeit stamp sales. The team is also investigating financial transactions and possible involvement by other individuals.

Investigators are working to establish the full scope of the alleged operation. They are also examining whether additional individuals participated in the network.
US Authorities Reportedly Announced Reward
US authorities had reportedly announced a $100,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. The reward highlighted the international dimension of the investigation.
The case involves alleged sales targeting customers in the United States through an online platform operated from Pakistan. The investigation may help authorities determine the extent of the suspected fraud and identify any additional participants.
NCCIA has gathered digital and financial evidence as part of the ongoing investigation. Further findings are expected to clarify the alleged scheme and the roles of those involved.
