National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) celebrated Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day with a ceremony at its Head Office in Karachi, bringing together the bank’s senior leadership, management and employees.
The ceremony was attended by NBP President and CEO Rehmat Ali Hasnie, senior management and staff members from across the institution.
The event highlighted Pakistan’s independence journey while also focusing on the bank’s role in supporting financial inclusion, economic empowerment and digital transformation across the country.
Flag Hoisting Ceremony Held in Karachi
The Independence Day ceremony began with the hoisting of the national flag by NBP President and CEO Rehmat Ali Hasnie.
The gathering also included the singing of Pakistan’s national anthem, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony to mark the country’s 79th Independence Day.
Employees and senior officials participated in the celebrations, reflecting the bank’s commitment to commemorating national occasions while highlighting its contribution to Pakistan’s economic development.
NBP Highlights Financial Inclusion
Addressing the gathering, Rehmat Hasnie paid tribute to the sacrifices made by Pakistan’s founders and members of the Armed Forces.
He also highlighted NBP’s responsibility toward promoting financial inclusion and economic empowerment for people across the country.
“Real freedom means economic empowerment and financial inclusion for every Pakistani,” Hasnie said.

According to Hasnie, the bank’s focus includes farmers, shopkeepers, students and women entrepreneurs.
