Right-arm fast bowler Naseem Shah, who joined Quetta Gladiators in 2019, is on the verge of concluding his association with the franchise for the upcoming ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

As per a media report, Shah has cited personal reasons for his choice to part company with the team.

The report additionally mentions substantial interest from both Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi in acquiring Shah’s services for the forthcoming edition of the PSL. Discussions about Shah’s potential move to either of these teams are gaining momentum, with speculation that he might enter the drafting process or be involved in a trade deal.

It’s worth noting that during a PSL 8 match between Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars earlier this year, Naseem Shah displayed visible frustration, leading fans to express dissatisfaction and advocate for his change of franchise in the next season.

Naseem sustained an injury during the Asia Cup, sidelining him from the ICC World Cup 2023. Following the injury, the fast bowler underwent shoulder surgery in October and is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
