Meta and Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication have launched a new initiative to provide free digital and artificial intelligence training to more than 1,000 small and medium-sized enterprises across Pakistan.
The Small Business Growth Academy has been introduced to help Pakistani entrepreneurs strengthen their digital skills, improve their online presence and use modern technology to expand their businesses.
Registration for the programme has opened, while training sessions are scheduled to begin in September.
Free digital and AI training for SMEs
The programme will focus on practical digital skills that can help small businesses adapt to Pakistan’s rapidly changing digital economy.
Participants will receive training on modern digital tools, including artificial intelligence-based technologies that can support business growth and customer engagement.
The Ministry of IT said the academy will help entrepreneurs make more effective use of Meta’s platforms, particularly Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp Business.
These platforms can help SMEs promote their products and services, communicate with customers and reach new markets without relying solely on traditional business methods.
Women entrepreneurs also invited
Women-led businesses have also been encouraged to participate in the programme.
The initiative is open to entrepreneurs, industrialists and aspiring business owners who want to improve their digital capabilities and compete more effectively in an increasingly technology-driven market.
By providing free training, the programme aims to make digital opportunities more accessible to businesses that may not otherwise have the resources to access professional technology and AI training.
Training to begin in September
Registration for the Small Business Growth Academy is currently underway, with training sessions expected to start in September.
More than 1,000 SMEs from across Pakistan are expected to benefit from the programme.
Participants will learn how digital platforms can be incorporated into everyday business activities, including marketing, customer communication and online growth.
The initiative is also expected to support Pakistan’s broader digital economy by helping small businesses adopt emerging technologies and develop the skills needed to reach a wider customer base.
The Ministry of IT and Meta hope the programme will provide Pakistani entrepreneurs with practical knowledge of digital and AI-powered tools while contributing to the long-term development of the country’s SME sector.
