Kohli Hosts Aussies for Anushka Sharma’s Birthday

Former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and his spouse, actress Anushka Sharma, recently hosted a birthday dinner, extending invitations to Australian cricketers Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, both currently part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) squad in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

As per local media reports, the couple arranged the dinner at Lupa, a renowned restaurant in Bengaluru. Kohli took to his Instagram story to commend Chef Manu Chandra, lauding the dining experience as exceptional.

In a photo posted by du Plessis on his Instagram stories, the group appeared to be enjoying themselves, with the Australian cricketer describing it as a “Great night spent with good people.”

The picture captured Kohli and Anushka in jovial spirits, marking Anushka’s initial public appearance since the birth of their son, Akaay.

Previously, Kohli had penned a heartfelt birthday message for Anushka on his Instagram, resonating with fans globally.

Renowned for their accomplishments in their respective fields and their strong bond, the couple frequently demonstrates affection and gratitude towards each other.

Presently competing for RCB in the IPL 2024 season, Kohli is set to resume action on May 4 in a match against the Gujarat Titans. Despite a somewhat shaky start, RCB has rallied with two consecutive victories in their last two matches. Nonetheless, their prospects of making it to the playoffs remain uncertain.

It’s noteworthy that despite boasting renowned figures like Chris Gayle, Maxwell, AB de Villiers, Jacques Kallis, and others, RCB has yet to secure the IPL title, despite reaching the final on three occasions in 2009, 2011, and 2016.
