Kia Pakistan has released a new teaser on social media, sparking speculation that the company is preparing to introduce the facelifted Kia Sportage L in the local market. While the automaker has not officially confirmed the model, the teaser has generated excitement among SUV enthusiasts across Pakistan.
The company has not disclosed the vehicle’s name, launch date, specifications or pricing. However, the teaser prominently features a redesigned rear LED light signature that closely resembles the facelifted Kia Sportage L currently available in several international markets.
The updated fifth-generation Kia Sportage L was introduced globally in late 2024 with a refreshed exterior and interior design. The facelift brought redesigned front and rear styling, new lighting elements, an upgraded cabin and an improved infotainment system. Kia has not yet confirmed whether these international upgrades will be included in the Pakistani version.
Lucky Motor Corporation first launched the fifth-generation Kia Sportage L in Pakistan in February 2025. Although the local model featured the longer-wheelbase body style, it retained the earlier pre-facelift design rather than the updated version introduced globally later that year.
The Sportage L currently sold in Pakistan is available with both petrol and hybrid powertrains. The hybrid variant combines a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a combined output of 227 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The model has gained popularity among buyers looking for improved fuel efficiency and modern SUV features.
Despite growing speculation, Kia Pakistan has not officially confirmed that the teaser is related to the Sportage L facelift. The company has also not announced details regarding available variants, engine options, pricing or the expected launch schedule.
Industry observers believe the teaser strongly suggests that the facelifted SUV could soon make its debut in Pakistan. If launched, the updated Sportage L is expected to compete more aggressively in the country’s growing SUV segment by offering refreshed styling and enhanced technology.
