The ISPR highlighted the deployment of 137,000 army personnel and civil armed forces at approximately 6,000 selected, highly sensitive polling stations, along with over 7,800 Quick Reaction Forces (QRFs). This extensive deployment aimed to create a safe and secure environment for the public throughout the election.

Despite facing 51 cowardly terrorist attacks, particularly concentrated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, with the intention of disrupting the electoral process, the soldiers displayed unwavering resolve. Their efforts effectively ensured peace and security across Pakistan. Tragically, 12 individuals, including 10 security personnel and law enforcement agency members, lost their lives, and 39 others sustained injuries in these attacks.

The ISPR emphasized the proactive intelligence maneuvers and swift actions taken by security agencies, neutralizing many potential threats. This underscored the commitment of these agencies to protect the democratic rights of citizens. Additionally, five terrorists were killed during various operations.

The ISPR expressed gratitude to other law enforcement agencies that collaborated closely with the armed forces to safeguard the democratic process. The statement voiced the hope that the sacrifices made during this election would not be in vain. The ISPR aspires that this electoral exercise will act as a catalyst for strengthening democracy in Pakistan, paving the way for realizing the aspirations of the people.

Concluding the statement, the ISPR reassured the nation that the armed forces remain dedicated to upholding peace and security in the country. They stand ready to provide unwavering support in safeguarding the democratic traditions of the state. This comprehensive account from the military media wing encapsulates the challenges faced, sacrifices made, and the commitment demonstrated by security forces in ensuring a secure electoral environment during the 2024 general elections in Pakistan.
