According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid is making intensive efforts to secure the services of Kylian Mbappe, aiming to make him their next Galactico and fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018.

During an interview with Madrid Zone, Romano stated, “Real Madrid are working hard behind the scenes on the Kylian Mbappe deal. They are on it.”

The World Cup-winning forward is said to be seeking an annual salary of £60 million and a transfer bonus of £107 million. Mbappe is currently allowing his contract with Paris Saint-Germain to run down, with its expiration set for the end of 2024. After that, he will become a free agent, and prominent clubs will have the opportunity to acquire his services.

However, potential complications arise as Real Madrid reportedly aims to offer an annual wage of £30 million, significantly falling short of Mbappe’s financial expectations. This disparity in financial terms could pose a significant obstacle to the completion of the deal, as securing Mbappe’s signature would require a substantial financial commitment from the 14-time Champions League winners.
