Iran FM Abbas Araghchi Returns to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Pakistan once again following the conclusion of his recent visit to Muscat, signaling continued diplomatic engagement between the two countries.

According to Iranian officials, after completing his current engagements in Pakistan, Araghchi is expected to travel onward to Russia, where he will hold further high-level discussions as part of ongoing regional and international diplomatic efforts.

During his earlier visit, the Iranian foreign minister had praised Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability. He described his trip as productive and constructive, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and cooperation in addressing ongoing challenges. Araghchi also highlighted that Iran had clearly presented its stance on developing a practical framework aimed at achieving a sustainable and long-term resolution to conflicts in the region.

He further noted that while diplomatic channels remain open, it is yet to be determined whether the United States is genuinely committed to meaningful negotiations and a peaceful approach. His remarks reflected cautious optimism while underlining the need for concrete actions to support diplomatic progress.

It is important to mention that during his previous visit to Islamabad, Araghchi held key meetings with senior Pakistani leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir. These discussions focused on regional security dynamics, bilateral cooperation, and ways to strengthen ties between Pakistan and Iran.

Overall, Araghchi’s repeated visits underline the growing importance of Pakistan in regional diplomacy and reflect ongoing efforts to enhance collaboration and stability in the broader region.
