iPhone 16 Series Features and Release Leaked

The release of the iPhone 16 series is not anticipated until at least September-October this year. Nevertheless, early renders based on prototypes of the iPhone 16 Pro have already surfaced, thanks to MacRumors.

Codenamed “Diablo” for the iPhone 16 Pro and internally known as “Lightning” for the Pro Max, initial impressions suggest that Apple might maintain a familiar design, closely resembling its predecessors.

The key changes include larger screens and the introduction of a dedicated Capture button on the device’s side.

The forthcoming iPhone 16 Pro is poised to impress with a 6.27-inch screen diagonal. Preliminary dimensions indicate a size of 149.6 x 71.45 x 8.25mm and a weight of around 194 grams.

Meanwhile, the larger iPhone 16 Pro Max boasts a 6.85-inch screen. Anticipated dimensions are 163 x 77.58 x 8.25mm, with an estimated weight of approximately 225 grams.

In terms of camera upgrades, both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are expected to feature enhanced 48MP ultrawide cameras. Additionally, the smaller iPhone 16 Pro is rumored to include a 5x tetraprism zoom lens.

One of the most intriguing hardware changes in the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro series is the introduction of the all-new Capture button. Rumored to incorporate a force sensor seamlessly into the phone’s frame, this addition is expected to be exclusive to the Pro model iPhones, distinguishing them from the rest of Apple’s lineup.

The Capture button will serve as a convenient shortcut for the camera app, thoughtfully integrated into the device’s frame for easy access. However, the introduction of the Capture button necessitates some adjustments. Notably, the US-exclusive mmWave antenna will be relocated to the left side of the device to accommodate this feature.
