Imran Khan Cleared Of Long March Vandalism Case

Imran Khan’s vandalism charges dismissed by Islamabad magistrate.

The former Prime Minister, and founding chairman of PTI, had been in jail since August last year, facing charges related to vandalism. Khan, a prominent dissent leader, has encountered over 150 cases following his removal from office.

Earlier on Tuesday, judicial magistrate Shaista Kundi reserved judgment on PTI leader’s discharge plea in the Long March vandalism case. Khan’s lawyer, Naeem Panjutha, requested the court to summon Imran Khan, yet the proceedings proceeded in his absence. Panjutha also highlighted that the plaintiff in these cases, the SHO, lacks the authority to file charges.
