The Higher Education Commission has announced the date for the Higher Education Aptitude Test for overseas scholarship applicants.
The HAT will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, for candidates applying for HEC overseas MS, MPhil and PhD scholarships.
HEC shared the revised schedule through a corrigendum to its overseas scholarship advertisement issued on August 9, 2026.
According to the updated schedule, candidates will be able to download their HAT roll number slips from September 17, 2026.
The roll number slips will be available through the HEC Education Testing Council website at etc.hec.gov.pk.
Applicants have been advised to download their slips before the test and carefully check all examination details.
Candidates should review the test venue, reporting time and other instructions mentioned on their roll number slips.
HEC has also corrected the online application portal mentioned in the original scholarship advertisement.
Candidates must use the official HEC Scholarship Portal at scholarships.hec.gov.pk to submit their scholarship applications.
The commission said the correction was included in the revised advertisement to ensure applicants use the correct platform.
The overseas scholarship program offers opportunities for Pakistani students seeking higher education at the MS, MPhil and PhD levels.
Applicants preparing for the HAT are advised to keep their documents and examination details ready ahead of the test.
Candidates should also regularly check official HEC platforms for any further updates regarding the examination schedule.
HEC clarified that all other information and conditions mentioned in the original overseas scholarship advertisement will remain unchanged.
The commission has urged applicants to follow the revised schedule and use only the official platforms for scholarship-related information.
